Rectangle A has twice the area of Rectangle B. The width of Rectangle A is less than 1/2 the width of Rectangle B.

Quantity A
Quantity B
The area of Rectangle A
The area of Rectangle B if its width is
increased by more than 2

A) Quantity A is greater.
B) Quantity B is greater.
C) The two quantities are equal.
D) The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.

---------APPROXIMATION + CONCEPT-----------
Subtract B from A
So, we need to find A - B and see if its +ve or -ve or if 0

Let's increase B's width by 3

A - B = LaBa - Lb(Bb + 3)
= 2LbBb - LbBb - 3Lb
= LbBb - 3Lb
= Lb(Bb - 3)

which is +ve for Bb>3 & -ve for Bb<3
So, there are multiple results for multiple values i.e. answer is D

First notice that Area of A= 2*(Area Of Be)
lets assume that,
area of a= lw= 2*30 =60
and b =lw =5*6 =30
I satisfied the condition above now.
Qa= area of A= 60
Qb = area of B if width increased by more than 2

Lets say for Qb, we increased width by 6
(6+6)*5= 60
here the answer is c both equal
increase width by 3 instead of 6 will decrease the area of b and hence answer is a

D is the answer
