A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college. The argument takes a general decision that same national curriculum should be taken for all the students until they enter college, which in some cases cannot be an effective measure. Here, I have taken into account certain cases and analyzed the situation to take a proper decision. Here the argument emphasizes that the same national curriculum should be taught until they enter college across the country, in my opinion, is not effective in all situation. Different student can have a different interest. A student who is keen on learning scientific theories and experimental studies, might not be interested in literature or culture related subjects. So teaching him such will not be effective. Maybe he wants to be an engineer or scientist and teaching him courses unrelated to his interest may not have any impact on his future. So harvesting time and resource to compel him to study such are futile. Furthermore, there could be the situation is, the national curriculum is made considering the whole country, not particularly taking into consideration any certain region, so there are chances that region does not have proper resource and infrastructure to teach that curriculum. Maybe the school does not have the necessary labs or teachers. Also, if the student wants to do a part-time job in the college level to bear his academic expenses that require some expertise that he could gain from his courses in school but could not because of the curriculum, then this will have a negative impact on his career as well as higher studies. On the contrary, there are a few cases where the argument can hold good. If all the students are under the same curriculum then all the students will be on the same level. it will be easier for the authority to diagnose the needs of a certain region quickly because they are continuously evaluating and updating it. since all the teachers know about it, they can help each other out and the teaching will be more effective. Teachers can share their plans and make a plan efficient for students of his class which would not be possible if different regions would follow a different curriculum. Teachers from another area can easily help a student outside of his area because all are under the same roof. After analyzing all the pros and cons, can conclude that the argument needs to be modified considering different requirements of students and regions of the country then it would be meaningful for all.
