Your error Sir means just and solely one thing: you do not read and grasp quite clearly the question

It was nearly impossible for Timothy to make an accounting error; he used a __________ system

it was almost impossible for Mr. X to make a mistake. So, he is quite powerful OR use a system alike..

Pedantic means (not a difficult word BTW ) careless.........he pay not so attention. How is possible to be almost perfect and make a careless mistake ?

D is out immediately. You need a word that highlights the fact that he is almost perfect thanks to a revolutionary system
