An investor purchased a share of non-dividend-paying stock for p dolla [#permalink]
KarunMendiratta, this may seem like a silly question but how did you come to the conclusion that we need to solve the equation \(r=100\sqrt{\frac{v+q}{p}} - 1\) and make the subject V to get to the answer of this question.

I actually spent close to 30 seconds trying to figure out how to solve the question by taking 'p' dollars and working from that angle.
Any tip that you would like to give that I should keep in mind for these kind of questions when I encounter them.
