If its a sentence equivalence question, how can A be the only answer?

The second 'more' is continuity of the idea introduced in the first 'more' albeit with more intensity. The first 'more' says 'concretely personal', so the second 'more' should introduce a more intense word than 'concretely personal' and that is 'intertwined with lives of people'

My bad, I thought the question to be text completion. Hence choose one.

The nearest meaning to 'intertwined' is 'Braided' hence the answers are A and D

While X, Y, and Z explore or explaining certai things such as the justice system ....notice how this sentence implies that they explaore OTHER elements but it is NOT their main purpose


this film, and Kitty Genovese herself,

This film and also Genovese


are more concretely personal,

both, the movie and geneovese, depict something more intimate. As it turns out, the first sentence tells us that in general, documentaries have a broader purpose

more directly ...........in the lives of people who did not know her.

this movie is more engaged in 8her personal story.

As such, the fit word is kinda like intimacy or deep or personal or confident....

The only answers are intertwined (close together or connected) and D

E which is personal we do have already in the sentence implied.

The others are out of scope


A and D are the definitive answers
