First we need to understand what it means to say "the graph of function f(x)"
Here's an example:
If f(x) = 2x - 3, then: the graph of function f(x) is the SAME AS the graph of y = 2x - 3

For what integer value of x in the interval shown does f(x) = x + 1?
This is the same as asking, "for what integer value of x does y = x + 1?"
Notice that, if y = x + 1, then we're saying that the y-value is ONE GREATER THAN the x-value.

So, we need to find a point on the graph such that the y-coordinate is ONE GREATER THAN the x-coordinate
When we scan the points on the graph, we can see that the point (-1, 0) lies on the graph.
At this point, x = -1 and y = 0
So, at the point (-1, 0), the y-coordinate is ONE GREATER THAN the x-coordinate

Answer: -1

We are asked to find the value of \(x\) for which \(f(x) = x+ 1\)
We need to find the value of \(x\) for which the value of \(y\) is one greater than that of \(x\).

Only the point \((-1,0)\) in the graph satisfies this condition.

Therefore, the answer is \(x=-1\)
