When \(x\) is divided by 10, the remainder is 8. What is the remainder when \(x\) is divided by 5?
OA ExplanationAny number N when divided by a divisor \(x\) can be written as \(xQ + R\)
Where, Q = quotient and R = remainder
Here, \(N = 10Q + 8\)
when \(Q = 0\), \(N = 8\)
\(Q = 1\), \(N = 18\)
\(Q = 2\), \(N = 28\)
When we divide \(8, 18, 28, ... \) with \(5\), every time we are getting a remainder of \(3\)
