Hi all,

I appeared for the GRE test, and I got my unofficial scores as V153 and Q 170. I don't think there would be any increase once I receive the official scores.

However, I had given 3-4 mocks before the exam, and I was scoring in the range of 325-330. I scored 327 in the PowerPep Plus Mock Test 3.

I didn't expect so much drop in Verbal. What do you guys think? Should I appear again for the exam in order to get admitted to Masters program in top universities? I was targeting MIT, Ross School for Masters in Supply Chain management and a few others.

It depends the GRE required by those schools you mentioned

So in this case wouldn't Verbal be a problem? Though I have cleared overall average marks, will I need to improve on my Verbal scores?

I see your quant score is perfect Q170 but verbal is 7 point less. You could stress more emphasis on other important aspects of your portfolios such as letters and essays.

However, the verbal score is a problem. Maybe at MIT no because they , maybe, care more about quant than verbal but in other schools it is important.

My personal view is that even at MIT verbal is important if they need 160+

Sir Carcass, is there any such ranking for Engineering schools as well here on GPC?

I am not sure the date of the article . However, it is a reference. Check on the website of the schools of your interest

However, considering that not only for the GRE there is an increasing trend to waive it but also your verbal score could be enough. Check the websites
