We can solve this one in 10 sec using theory...

The area will be the greatest when both quantities are almost the same.

So we have less difference between them in option B.

A conceptual way to approach this question is to remember that regular forms (equal sides) maximize area. In this case:

Original : 400 x 400
Rectangle A: w = 404 x l = 396
Rectangle B: w = 402 x l = 398

Since rectangle B is closer to the square (regular form) it must be bigger. So no calculation is needed.
