The function would be undefined when \(x=-2\) as it will result in division by zero in the last term \(\frac{5}{x+2}\) thus making the last term and thus the entire function undefined.

The function will also be undefined when \(x\) takes the value of \(-4\) and \(-5\) since it will make the value inside the radical in the term \(\sqrt{x+3}\) negative giving us an imaginary result and imaginary numbers are not part of the GRE Quants.

Thus we can rule out \(-2,-4\) and \(-5\).

Thus only when \(x\) takes the values \(-3\) and \(-1\), is the function\( f(x)\) defined.

The correct Choices are C and E.
