180 is possible if you take 191 to be the 3 digit number then the corresponding 2 digit number formed is 11. Subtracting 11 from 191 would result in 180. So none of the above should be the answer.

I did not understand how 180 is the answer Carcass. Pls explain

Subtracting the latter from the former, the result is 90h + 10t = 10(9h + t). Since 9h + t has to be formed with nonzero values for h and t, the only impossible values for h and t is for the case of 180, where h = 2 and t = 0. All of the other cases give nonzero values for t. The answer is (D).

which of the following can not be the result?

The question is perfectly legit. I do not see any flaw.

Carcass : Looks like all answers are possible

131 - 11 = 120
161 - 11 = 150
181 - 11 = 170
191 - 11 = 180
262 - 22 = 240
