As we are informed that number 3072 is divisible by 6 and 8.
So clearly the number \(3072+6=3078\) would be divisible by 6 and \(3072+8=3080\) are divisible by 8.
However 3080 is not divisible by 6 and 3078 is not by 8. So we need to find a number m , such that \(3072 +m\) which is divisible by 6 and 8.
m is the least common multiple of 6 and 8 . LCM of 6 and 8 is 24.
Hence the number greater than 3072 and divisible by 8 and 6 is \(24+3072=3096\).
