Explanation
x is 0.5% of y. So if you fix a value of \(y\), any value at all, you fix x.
Lets do that, say y=100.
x= 0.5% of y or \(x=\frac{0.5}{100} \times y\)=0.5
Now y is what percent of x part. This is where it get a bit tricky!Now \(\frac{y}{x}=\frac{100}{0.5}=200\).
Or y is 200 times x. which is 20000%.
Note percent can be broken down as
per -
cent. Here
per means for every (or divided by) and cent means (100).
So for every 100 of x we have \(100 \times 200\) of y.
