We can solve this question using matching operations (my favorite Quantitative Comparison strategy)
Given:
Quantity A: (x+10)(y)(z)
Quantity B: (x)(y)(z+10)
Expand both quantities:
Quantity A: xyz + 10yz
Quantity B: xyz + 10xy
Subtract xyz from both quantities:
Quantity A: 10yz
Quantity B: 10xy
Since we're told y is POSITIVE, we know that 10y must be POSITIVE, which means we can safely divide both quantities by 10y to get:
Quantity A: z
Quantity B: x
Since we're told z < x, the correct answer is B
