Hi and welcome to the board

I did not know that Italian Universities or Faculties need the GRE or GMAT score to attend the "Ateneo". Which one you are pointing out ? Milan Bicocca? The Statale University ?

Back to your question, the GRE is certainly easier than the GMAT

However a low score as 145 could be risky : to have this score you have to nail in the first section, which is always medium, 7/8 questions. But to worth points to mention

1) On average the first section is \(\approx 3.3\) but you do not know how many questions of 1 or 5 difficulty level the algorithm pushes towards you. They could be in most parts 4, for example. Therefore you could need up to nail just a few questions

2) The second section at that point will be easy BUT in the end, the exam will put on you maybe some penalty points.

To sum up, aiming to just 145 is a razor edge.

Even though you do need not a so high score I would take the exam as if you need 165 in both sections

Let me know if you need further assistance sir

Good luck

If you spent already time and effort for the GMAT quant, for the GRE you would be ok, not the other way around though

Same for the RC on both

Text completion and sentence equivalence are a different story

Here all the resources you need for both sections https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/free-m ... 18796.html

Vocabulary included, under GRe vocabulary you will find the links

Hi Scott!
Just booked the GRE for 24th March.
My only concern was about vocabulary, but I actually noticed that a high percentage of the difficult words that can be encountered in the test, derive from the latin, and as an italian, I am familiar with them, so I basically fill the gaps with this advantage.
Of course difficult not latin terms can be challenging, but since I need "only" 145 in both sections I should be able to achieve this score.

here https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/gre-vo ... 27704.html all our resources.

Pick one and go for it.

At the very least pick the first one. Should be enough

The problem is that many vocabs on the GRE are yes derived from Latin but then they took their own declination.

Many words also come from French or Dutch

Be careful to think that will be easy.. There is something more on the GRE

Good luck

Of course I won't underestimate the verbal section.
I am taking it really seriously and studying the different types of questions in the verbal section.
I actually took an official practice test like 10 days ago (without practicing a lot) and I scored 145 in the verbal and 155 in the quant, and also I was lazy to read the second section passages so I guessed the answer, getting them all wrong.
This is the reason why I think I can achieve the 145 goal score, and I will dedicate all my time from now until March 24 to exercise.
If you have any other suggestion/tips, please let me know.
Thank you

Edit:
My university only requires the Quant/Verbal section scores, do you think it's a problem if I completely skip the essays, leaving the section blank?
If the answer is no, skipping fast the two essays, will make me able to immediately jump to the Verbal/Quant sections?
Thank you.

Hello everyone!
I took the ETS Powerprep Test 1 today and scored 152 V / 157 Q.
Is this indicative in some ways of the score I could get on test day?
Thank you.

Yes but the FREE software usually is on the easier side (slightly)

The closest test to the real exam should be the PowerPrep PLus 3

However, it is a good starting point
