Solution:-
If the man rows against the current an 8 mile per hr current the his speed decreases by 8 amd the speed of the boat becomes 4 miles per hour.
Thus to travel 6 miles it takes 1.5 hour.

In ONE HOUR, the man can travel 12 miles in STILL WATER, but while rowing against the current, the man LOSES 8 miles to the current.
So, the NET gain is 4 miles in ONE HOUR
So, at a rate of 4 miles per hour, how long will it take to travel 6 miles?
time = distance/rate
= 6/4
= 1.5 hours
Answer: B
