R:C = 5:2
C:T = 5:3
Let me flip that second ratio:
R:C = 5:2
T:C = 3:5
I want the C values to the the same, so I can connect the two ratios. Hence, I'll multiply the first ratio by 5 and the second by 2:
R:C = 25:10
T:C = 6:10
So if we have 10 carnations, we'll have 25 roses and 6 tulips. R:T, then, the ratio of roses to tulips, is 25:6.
C:T = 5:3
