Let \(a\) = the average of the other 10 numbers in the list.
Since \(x\) is three times the average of the other 10 numbers in the list, \(x = 3a\).
The sum of the 11 numbers in the list is \(10a + x = 10a + 3a = 13a\).
\(\frac{x }{ 13a} = \frac{3a }{ 13a} = \frac{3}{13}\)
