We know that Alice \& Beth together worked for 10 hours to produce 5000 books.
The next day when Alice \& Beth worked for 5 hours and 4 hours respectively, their working hours is not even half the time they spent to produce 5000 books, so the number of books produced when Alice $\&$ Beth contributed 5 hours and 4 hours respectively, must be less than $\(\frac{1}{2}(5000)=2500\)$ (The number of hours and the work done are directly proportional when speed is constant).
Hence column A quantity must be less than the column $\(B\)$, so the answer is (B).
