Let A = the total costs for 2011
Let B = the total number of customers for 2011
So, in 2011, the total cost per person = A/B
According to the table...
1.15A = the total costs for 2012
1.02B = the total number of customers for 2012
So, in 2012, the total cost per person = 1.15A/1.02B
So, the cost per person percent increase = [(1.15A/1.02B) - (A/B)]/(A/B) = 0.13/1.02 ≈ 12.7%

Let C = the total costs for 2011
Let D = the total number of customers for 2011
So, in 2011, the total cost per person = C/D
According to the table...
1.04C = the total costs for 2012
1.14D = the total number of customers for 2012
So, in 2012, the total cost per person = 1.04C/1.14D
STOP! At this point, we can see that the cost per person actually decreases from 2011 to 2012

As the ques. ask us to find the value in percent, we can take the value as 100
Now,
STORE W::
Total change in cost from 2011 to 2012 = 115
Total change in number of distinct customer from 2011 to 2012 = 102
Percentage changed = \(\frac{115}{102} * 100\)% = 1.12%
STORE x::
Total change in cost from 2011 to 2012 = 104
Total change in number of distinct customer from 2011 to 2012 = 114
Percentage changed = \(\frac{104}{114} * 100\)% = 0.9%
STORE Y
Total change in cost from 2011 to 2012 = 112
Total change in number of distinct customer from 2011 to 2012 = 105
Percentage changed = \(\frac{112}{105} * 100\)% = 1.06%
STORE Z::
Total change in cost from 2011 to 2012 = 80
Total change in number of distinct customer from 2011 to 2012 = 93
Percentage changed = \(\frac{80}{93} * 100\)% = 0.86%
