why not monotonous , i know dulcet, is the best answer but monotonous is good also

cacophony bubbling is mean a mixture of diverse sounds while monotonous is come as one pattern of sounds

Far from being tedious, monotonous, boring..the melody went down the hall graciously or dulcet

Your reasoning is the classic reasoning of who does not think broadly and analyze every piece of the stem carefully

The meaning is not that the melody came from a single corner or in a single pattern...the meaning was the melody was not boring
