There is a typo in the question.
(a+b)(a-b)/(a-) = a+b
(a+b)(a-b)=a^2+b^2
4*2 = 4+2
Hence C
(a+b)(a-b)/(a-) = a+b
(a+b)(a-b)=a^2+b^2
4*2 = 4+2
Hence C
