Given: g(n) = n - 2 if n is ODD and g(n) = n² + 1 if n is EVEN
Since 1 is ODD, g(1) = 1 - 2 = -1
Since 2 is EVEN, g(2) = 2² + 1 = 5
So, g(1) − g(2) = -1 − 5 = -6
Answer: -6
