Carcass , For question 1, I chose option B. In the passage, it is mentioned that filing lawsuits against small firms and firms with unions is less profitable for workers. Although the passage does not provide a direct comparison between companies with and without unions, but i thought it is this much is inferable .

So, For answer choices in which no direct comparison is provided, it is advisable to refrain from marking them as correct ?

In inference question, we cannot consider outside information in this case. Never.

In inference questions ALL the information are IN the passage in the form of rephrasing or something like that
