Why are you using cute, when you are trying to call someone out? My personal opinion- it feels like you are talking down to them. When someone is an adult, it does not mean that they have unlimited resources to spend on their schooling; they may have families, working part-time, stuck and etc. I think it is important to offer guidance to anyone who is trying to learn and better himself or herself. Help them out, don’t bring them down.
