Following PEDMAS, the equation in the parenthesis should be solved first. 3♥5 should be first solved for.
= 3(3-5)
=3* -2
=-6
So parenthesis is solve and the result will become "s" and the previous number will be "r" as per the question.
4♥-6 will be final answer.
=4(4-(-6) (When subtracting a negative number from an integer, you are actually adding them)
=4(4+6)
=4*10
=40.
Hence the answer is E
= 3(3-5)
=3* -2
=-6
