If the actual temperature is 20 degrees Fahrenheit and the wind speed increases from 5 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour, what is the corresponding decrease in the apparent temperature?

From the table, we can see that

the temp, when wind speed is 5 , is 16
Now
when the wind speed is 40, the temp is -21

The change in temp = \(-21 - 16\) = \(-37\)

The temperature decreases 37 degrees.
