Subtracting 2x and 7 from both quantities, we get quantity A equal to -11 and quantity B equal to 3x. Then, given that x > -3, quantity B is at least equal to 3*(-2.9999) = -8.99997, that is greater than -11. Thus quantity B is larger than quantity A.

Given:
Quantity A: 2x - 4
Quantity B: 5x + 7
Subtract 2x from both quantities to get:
Quantity A: -4
Quantity B: 3x + 7
Subtract 7 both quantities to get:
Quantity A: -11
Quantity B: 3x
Divide both quantities by 3 to get:
Quantity A: -11/3
Quantity B: x
Simplify to get:
Quantity A: -3.666666...
Quantity B: x
Since we're told that x > -3, we can be certain that x > -3.66666...
