Hi There!

Let me try to help you with a few points which helped me increase my score also, this will depend on the amount of efforts you put in your preparation and the time you have in your hand.

As you already have a 162 on quants, I think you have your basics in place. Go through all the concepts once again, and solve questions from OG (irrespective of whether you have solved it n times before, start again). Try solving each question on your own if you get it correct how? Is your method correct is there any other method which can save your time. There are many solutions to one problem, go through other solutions as well. This will surely help you to improve quants.

For verbal, You can try improving you RC, as at times you tend not to remember the meaning of the words but it is possible to get hold of RC. This does not mean only prepare RC but give it a bit more time, read and comprehend articles you come across. You can learn words from GREGmat's vocab list pdf, they are with images, so even if you don't remember the meaning a visual image of the meaning helps you get little idea whether to completely eliminate or keep the choice.

Let me know if I can help you further.

Hope this helps!

Regards

Thank you for your answers.

I took one of the free ETS practice tests, and I scored 170 in quant and 149 in verbal. During the 1 month preparation I have studied the whole Manhattan 5lb book (only math questions). I solved all the quant questions inside the book. Now I think my preparation should be targeted to verbal.

Also do you believe that these free tests is a good indicator of an expected GRE score?

Hi,

The free tests are generally on the easier side. However, Q170 is great, and try to maintain the rhythm in the main one.

All the best

Hello! I have been prepared for GRE for six months, 1-2 hours per day. I was examined before some days and I received a score of 162 in quant and 149 in verbal and 3.5 in AW. I would like to ask, if it is feasible to increase my score with more preparation or there is a flat in the maximum score which a candidate can accomplish. Also I am an international student and English is not my native language.

Honestly, as long as you follow a structured study plan as well as a realistic timeline, I would not say there is any ceiling to how well you can do on the GRE. Also, if you'd like some advice on how to move forward with your GRE studying feel free to reach out.

Good luck!
