Lots of different approaches here. Here's one....
Given: (m + 5)(m – 5) = 0
Since we have the components of a difference of square, let's expand and simplify the left side to get: m² - 25 = 0
Add 25 to both sides: m² = 25
Also given: (k + 4)(k – 4) = 0
Expand and simplify the left side to get: k² - 16 = 0
Add 25 to both sides: k² = 16
So we have:
QUANTITY A: m² = 25
QUANTITY B: k² = 16
Answer: A
