Summary
Para 1:
. Archimedes new work surfaced
. Because of the chorus, it’s original date was deduced
. New evidence (competition) invalidated the above hypothesis

21. The author of the passage focuses primarily on

(B) recounting the effect of one archaeological find on modern ideas concerning a particular author's work- Correct. find: papyrus found at Oxyrhynchus

author's main point concerning modern archaeological finds?

(A) They can profoundly alter accepted views of ancient literary works, and can encourage flexibility
in the way scholars look at the creative development of any artist.- Correct.
the most salutary feature of the papyrus scrap is its message of the extreme difficulty of classifying and
categorizing rigidly the development of a creative artist.

23. According to the passage, in the absence of definite knowledge concerning the dates of composition of ancient literary works, literary historians do which of the following when trying to establish the chronology of an author's work?

(B) Draw inferences concerning the date of a work's composition based on evidence internal
to that work and on the author's other works- correct
vast majority of classical scholars, who had confidently asserted that not only the role of the chorus but also language,
metrics, and characterization all pointed

24. It can be inferred from the passage that which of the following plays or groups of plays is considered the latest in the date of its composition?

(C) The Oresteia

The discovery has resulted in no less than a total reevaluation of every-chronological criterion
that has been applied to or derived from

Can someone please explain q21? - one of the overall-idea questions I found tough
I chose A even though unsure about the word "series" in the answer choice and outright crossed out B upon seeing "modern ideas concerning a particular author's work" since I thought the passage was never about the modern ideas

choice A is incorrect because there is only one "archaeological find" , not series of findings. Moreover, "their impact on the study of Greek literature" is too general. The passage only focuses on one case. Try eliminating choice like this.
Secondly, what is the problem with modern ideas. It is true. Actually the modern ideas regarding the drama is: "not only the role of the chorus but also language, metrics, and characterization all pointed to an early date". This is the idea of modern scholars, along with many other details in the passage; and they were rejected by discovery of papyrus fragment showing another idea or hypothesis is true.
