For me Best verbal GRE are (I do not mention the Official Material that should be alone enough, quality over quantity)

1) Kaplan - forget
2) Magoosh - pretty decent
3) MGRE - forget
4) Princeton - forget
5) Gruber's - is good https://www.amazon.com/Grubers-Complete ... 1510754229
6) Aristotle - good https://www.amazon.com/Wiley-Aristotle- ... oks&sr=1-4

Hi, and welcome to the board :)

Here a list of useful link on our community. Keep in mind that the relevant posts are put at the top of the general page (quant and verbal) or at the top of the specific page you wanna visit (say The subforum quantitative comparison question)

How to post a question on the board and the use of the tag (very important)

Quant - https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/how-to-po ... 12752.html
Verbal - https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/how-to-po ... 12927.html

The rules of the board https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/rules-for ... -1083.html

And last but not least our test https://gre.myprepclub.com/tests/

As for the Verbal part, unfortunately, my Verbal guide is not ready yet. :(

Nonetheless, MGRE prep Verbal book to tackle RC,TC,SE are quite right in my experience.

The quant part is more natural to improve because it is math concepts related which is easier to stick with. Verbal instead is more difficult because you can use tips and tricks. However, it is much more related to your English Language Skills overall and your language expertise.

Hope this helps :)

PS: there are more resources here. Just take a look at the announcement/sticky posts or do a search via the search button https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/search.php

Hey Surya,
if you want resources just for GRE Verbal, I'd suggest Magoosh. I loved both these apps and they helped me a lot.

what is the best source for preparing gre verbal namely Reading comprehension, text completion and sentence equivalence?
I know that ETS official GRE verbal reasoning practice questions are the best(as they're prepared by ETS themselves) but i also know that there are very less number of questions.
I've been told that the Manhattan 5lb's verbal section is not so good for the verbal part.
And also is the Manhattan prep gre verbal strategies book good enough to learn the strategies and stuff?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance :)

I would suggest stay away from Manhattan 5lb Verbal. However for quant Manhattan 5lb is a great source.

Moreover u can get tons on question from greprepclub
For vocab - start with

1. prepscholar 357 gre words
2. Magoosh (Common & Basic)
3. powerscore repeat offenders

Most important start practicing SC and TC

Any particular reason why? Asking since I am planning on starting my final stretch of preparation by tackling questions from this book.
