I got the third edition and the timing and section count is much higher/old . 25 questions and 40 min instead of 30 min and 20 min for verbal

Hi,

25 question and 40 minutes is the format of paper based GRE test. Historically OGs have catered to paper based tests while Powerprep software is for the computer based test.

Also, in computer based test the Quant section is 35 minutes and Verbal is 30 minutes long.

Regards,

also noticed NO EXPERIMENTAL section on their website listing for the paper based. is this true?

As far as I know there is no experimental section on the paper based GRE.

I do not know anybody who has taken a paper based GRE so really cannot comment if paper based format is easier. However as far as score reporting ans speed of results are concerned computer based GRE is significantly faster.

Wow. This is making me think....

Where are the additional questoin sin verbal and quant, disproportionately? more word problem or comparisons for quant? More sentence fillout for verbal?
