GREfocus that's not correct though, because it's a double negative situation. You have to sub the variable into the x inside brackets. Since we're dealing with a negative fraction/non-integer, quantity A becomes -(-1/2) or 1/2 and B is -(-1/2)^3 = -(-1/8) = 1/8. Hence A should be bigger

here x is negative and the question gives -x, -x^3 which means double negative turns to be positive, so quantity A is bigger
