How to increase my score?

Hello Experts,
I really need help. I have given GRE test two times and got this score - 1. Verbal-143, Quant-156 2. Verbal-144 Quant-155. Both the times, i almost got same score. I prepared from Manhattan, Kaplan, Barron's and Magoosh. I gave all the ETS online exams and taken all 5 manhattan test online last year. I worked through whole Magoosh question banks, all vocabulary and quant flashcards. You can say that I tried everything but still didn't get a good score. Now, can you please suggest what should I do and how should I prepare to get a good score of 165 in both the sections. Especially I find verbal very hard for me. How to combat this? Before I loose hope, I really need an honest advice on how to prepare for GRE. I'm targeting August end for my next GRE test so I don't have much time left. Looking forward for your advice.

Hi Saumya257,
There are many possible reasons for particularly low scores and you need to look at the topic wise break up of your scores to identify the areas of weakness.
For example you might find that you consistently scored low in Geometry or Algebra, thus you need to improve those particular sections. It is also quite possible that you might have panicked on the test day and committed silly errors. If that is the case you would find that all of your topics would take a hit equally badly.
That being said one thing can be absolutely said from the information you have provided. You need to earn the GRE Words. You can easily boost you score by 10 points in Verbal section if you Memorize the GRE Words. This is a low hanging fruit in the Verbal section. It is also safe to assume you need help with Reading Comprehension.

I have again started preparing and this time focusing more on learning vocabulary thoroughly. Can you please also let me know where I can get the best resources to prepare Verbal as well as Quant? Which one would be the best according to you? Meanwhile, I'm referring to Magoosh-GRE-Vocab-eBook.pdf and also flashcards (though, I referred flashcards last time as well
).
And one more thing I would like to point out, I was practicing from your greprepclub/tests and I found many inaccuracies. The questions were being repeated, sometimes the whole RC was repeated in the later question, paragraphs in RCs were not numbered at all and even then the paragraph number was mentioned in the question to answer from that particular paragraph, etc etc. So, can I trust it for practicing ?
