The trick here is that T is a two digit number but not necessarily is the reveresed number.
Examine choices:
(A) -72 ---> 08 - 80 = -72 Check
(B) -45 ---> 05 - 50 = -45 Check
(C) 0 ---> 11 - 11 = 0 Check
(D) 27 ---> 85 - 58 = 27 Check
(E) 64 ---> 70 - 07 = 63 does not work -- also 81-18 = 63 does not work (the closest possible answer)
The answer is (E)

I noticed a pattern in the answer choices to determine the correct answer.
0 can be eliminated because the two digit number can be a number with repeating digits like 11. 11-11=0.
Now, the remaining choices are all divisible by 9 (-72, 45, 27).
The only answer choice that does not match this rule is 64.
