If the speed of x meters per second is equivalent to the speed of y kilometers per hour, what is y in terms of x? (1 kilometer=1000meters).
\(y*\frac{kilometers}{hour}=x*\frac{meters}{seconds}\)
\(y*\frac{1\;kilometer}{1\; hour}*\frac{1000 \;meters}{1 \;kilometer}*\frac{1\; hour}{3600 \;seconds}=x*\frac{meters}{seconds}\)
\(y*\frac{1000 \;meters}{3600 \;seconds}=x*\frac{meters}{seconds}\) --------> \(y=\frac{3600}{1000}*x=\frac{18}{5}*x\)
Answer: C
\(y*\frac{kilometers}{hour}=x*\frac{meters}{seconds}\)
