Since -2 is EVEN, {-2} = the greatest integer LESS THAN -2
So, {-2} = -3
Since 5 is ODD, {5} = the least integer GREATER THAN 5
So, {5} = 6
So, {-2} - {5} = (-3) - 6 = -9
Answer: B
