No because this is ONE of the most common error a student makes

we do not know anything about p and 2q they could be either positive or negative and when you square both they are always positive

Be always suspicious when you deal with numbers squared to even exponents

Then we should note (p/q)=+-2 after squaring of both sides then rather just as (p/q)==2.
