Alternatively, it's possible that Tom bought 6 bananas at S i.10 apiece ($6.60 total), and 2 oranges at $0.70 apiece ($1.40 total). You cannot determine whether 2 oranges cost more or less than $1. Lets take different test cases-> A : (1,7) ; B (2,5) ; c(3,4) -- (Total cost of oranges, Total cost of bananas)
Lets assume there were 4 oranges and 4 bananas.
so it becomes -> A : (1/4,7/4) ; b(2/4,5/4) ; c(3/4, 1) -- (unit cost of oranges , unit cost of bananas )
so taking the values in consideration of quant A (cost of 2 oranges )-> A : 1/2 , B : 1 ; C 3/2) compare it with the $1 . the relative answers are A < B , A = B ; A > B .
This leaves the option D to be selected.
