Here, the categories we are given are:
(i) Either the employees are Males or females
(ii) Either the employees earn less than $5000 or earn at least $5000.
Now , if you follow step by step the count the problem is less tricky
Of a total 200 employees, 80 are female and 120 are male
Of 120 male 84 earn > $ 5000 so 36 < $ 5000
Overall at least 100 earn > $5000 . We have to focus on those females who earn > $5000
IF overall 100 earn > $ 5000 and 84 are males the rest are females so 16 > $ 5000.
We do know that 80 are female and 16 earn > $5000 we can conclude that AT LEAST 64 females earn > $ 5000
So 70,80,90 are the correct answer choices
(i) Either the employees are Males or females
(ii) Either the employees earn less than $5000 or earn at least $5000.

But the question asks for the female employees earning less than $5000 per month?
