The question stem doesn't specify which dimension of the cuboid we should add three units to. From here, it is a pretty fair to assume that Answer Choice D is the correct answer.
However, on the GRE it's best not to blindly trust our assumptions so let's check to see if they are correct.
QA = (1.2)(16)(14)(10) = 2688
QB = (16 +3)(14)(10) = (19)(14)(10) = 2660
...OR...
QB = (16)(14 + 3)(10) = (16)(17)(10) = 2720
...OR...
QB = (16)(14)(10+3) = (16)(14)(13) = 2912
Now, while we have now proved that the answer is D, something interesting to notice that adding to the smallest number has the biggest impact on the resulting product.
