Mr. William bought shares of two companies, Max and Duke. The amount invested in Max was 3 times of the amount invested in Duke but after two year the profit from Max was \(\frac{2}{3}\) of the profit from Duke. If the profit from Duke \(\frac{1}{4}\) was of the investment done in Max, what is his overall profit percentage?

Max = 3x Duke = x
Duke's profit same as Max = 3x max's profit = 3x
Profit % = 6x/4x = 150 % ?
Am I missing something here
I think, 150% is the increased amount. Profit will be 150 -100 = 50%. But this still isn't one of the options, so I am also not sure what to do differently. May be Carcass can help?

No the question is incomplete in te stem. reading like this does not make any sense because the fractions did not show up. I do not know why. It is NOt the first time that this happens
