Simple Interest si \(\frac{PNR}{100}\)
\(I_1=\frac{3,000*1*R}{100}=30R
\)
\(I_2=\frac{1,000*1*7}{100}=70
\)
Combined yearly return is \(= \frac{(3,000+1,000)*1*8.5}{100}=340
\)
Put Together \(I_1+I_2=340\)
\(30R+70=340\)
\(R=9\)
