A
4(1/2x + 2y)
=4/2x + 8y
= 2/x + 8y
B
(2x+8y)
8y is common in both options. Since we don't have the value of x, we have to assume the value of x. If x is -2, option A is -x+8y and option B is -4x+8y. The answer is B. Again, if x is 2, option A is x+8y and option B is 4x+8y. Option B is the answer. So, option B is the answer.

Now ignoring 8y since it would be the same value on both ends and
plugging x = 1,
we get A --> 2/x = 2 and B --> 2x = 2*1 = 2 --> so here quantities are equal
if x=2,
we get A --> 2/x = 2/2 = 1 and B --> 2x = 2*2 = 4 --> here B is greater
So, it should be D -The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.
