We are given that the ratio of clerks to managers is 12:1.
Let’s say if 12𝑥 clerks are there, 𝑥 managers would be there.
Total employees = 12𝑥 + 𝑥 = 13𝑥
Also, company has total 26 employees, so 13𝑥 = 26, gives 𝑥 = 2
Now we know,
Total clerks = 12𝑥 = 24
Total Managers = 𝑥 = 2
Average annual salary of a manager is 25000.
Total annual salary of 2 managers = 2 × 25000 = 50000 as Total = Average × Number
of terms.
Average annual salary of a clerk is 15000.
Total annual salary of 24 clerks = 24 × 15000 = 360000
Total annual salary of all employees = Total annual salary of managers + Total annual
salary of clerks
= 360000 + 50000
= 410000
Average= 410000/26=15769
