This problem is a distraction in its wording. It is just a series of %
1) we do have an increase of 50% so it is 1.5
2) Then we do have an increase of 250% so we do have 3.5
The difference in % is 3.5-1.5/1.5=35-15/15=1.33333 * 100= 133 %
