Let us assume that the work rate of a man (efficiency) is m and that of a woman is w, let the work done be s
While 5 men work, they take 20 hours to complete the work, so work=work rate*no. of workers*time, s=20*5*m
While 8 men and 3 women work together, they take 10 hours to complete the same work, so s=10*(8*m+3*w)
equating both, 20*5*m=10*(8*m+3*w)
20m=30w, m/w=1.5
Thus, the ratio is skewed in favour of men, that is the efficiency of a man is 1.5 times that of a woman, so the answer is A
