Total # of apples = 5
Good apples = 4
Bad apple = 1
Probability of good apples = 4/5
Probability of bad apple = 1/5
Probability of taking out two apples which would also include the bad one:
2 (4/5 x 1/4) = 2/5
or
(1/5 x 4/4) + (4/5 x 1/4) = 2/5
Hence option (D).
Good apples = 4
Bad apple = 1
Probability of good apples = 4/5
Probability of bad apple = 1/5
Probability of taking out two apples which would also include the bad one:
2 (4/5 x 1/4) = 2/5
or
