Hey,
I just did my GRE yesterday and got an unexpectedly low score. I was very disappointed. I had primarily been practising from
Magoosh and doing their practice tests because apart from the one ETS free power prep ( which I did and ended up getting the exact same score), no other tests seemed to mimic the shorter GRE, and I wanted the same kind of test. My scores were 156 in VR and 155 in QR. I was aiming for at least 160 in both. My average in practice tests was 315; I even got 324 and 323 in my last two
Magoosh tests.
I am retaking my GRE in 21 days on the 30th because I need a better score for my MBA applications. I have bought the GRE mentor course on ETS and plan to do their 3 paid Powerprep test for the shorter GRE since I heard they are the closest.
The sad part is I didn't think the exam went that bad. Apart from a few daunting Math questions, it went smoothly. Do you have suggestions for any other practice test for the shorter GRE that I could do? I want to avoid the
Magoosh tests as that was all I used last time and performed miserably. Also, let me know if you have any strategies for the next 21 days. I will only get my GRE diagnostic score report next week. But I plan to do one power prep test today, see my performance, and work based on that.
I plan to do the last 2 Powerprep tests in the last week before the GRE.
